Meet Dean

A Houston native, Dean Zubowski has been with the company for six years, overseeing furniture production from concept to completion. Along the way, he's contributed to furniture design, sales, merchandising, management, and vendor relations, giving him a well-rounded perspective on how each piece is designed and built to serve the customer. He's also a fan of incorporating accent leather to elevate a piece and add character.

Dean's favorite project is deeply personal: designing and building a custom glider for his daughter's nursery. He even wrote "Dad loves you" into the hardwood frame, a detail that perfectly reflects the heart behind his work.

He's proud to be part of a company that truly listens to its customers, designing furniture that fits their lives and homes while delivering the level of quality Houstonians deserve.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys golfing, grilling, and spending time with his family.

Meet Debra

With 40 years of industry experience, Debra returned to retail by joining the Living Designs Furniture team in 2026. As a former business owner herself, she was excited to join a family business and stay close to her community.

Debra has a deep love for design, but she's equally passionate about the personal side of the job, working one-on-one with each client to help them find their perfect style.

When she's not in the showroom, Debra travels internationally to help build orphanages through a renowned ministry and unwinds closer to home by refinishing furniture. Most of all, she loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Meet David

David joined the Texas Mattress Makers and Living Designs Furniture team in 2024 as Store Manager at our Memorial location. With more than 15 years of experience in furniture design and sales, he brings a genuine passion for the craft — and for finding exactly what each customer needs rather than settling for what's available.

His favorite model in the showroom is the Galleria, drawn to its beautiful channeling and sleek lines. At home, David gravitates toward contemporary styles, but he loves designing classic pieces in bold colors (and anything in velvet).

His most memorable project to date is a pair of bold swivel chairs in bright orange leather with tufting, designed for a moody cigar room. They were a perfect fit.

When he's not helping customers bring their dream furniture to life, David volunteers with stray cats and kittens, giving them a better shot at a happy life.

Meet Ash

Ash joined the Texas Mattress Makers and Living Designs Furniture team as a Design Consultant in 2025, bringing more than 17 years of industry experience and a genuine passion for helping customers find the right furniture and mattress for their home.

His favorite model in the showroom is the Midtown Collection, and when it comes to fabric, he reaches for Crypton every time for its versatility and performance.

He stays sharp by traveling to trade shows and keeping up with the latest trends and innovations in the industry, bringing that knowledge back to his work.

Meet Carlos

Carlos has been with Texas Mattress Makers and Living Designs Furniture for 10 years, starting on the mattress side before finding his creative calling in furniture design. He's known for his ability to understand what customers are looking for and guide them through the design process so that comfort and style come together just right.

One of his most memorable projects was a fully custom four-piece sectional with a chaise, pulling design elements from multiple collections and adjusting the seat height and depth to fit the customer's exact needs. Seeing it all come together made it especially rewarding.

Outside of work, Carlos enjoys working on cars and computers, hobbies that reflect the same love for problem-solving and hands-on customization he brings to every design.

Meet Mohammed

Mohammed "Mo" joined Living Designs Furniture and Texas Mattress Makers in 2025 as a Store Manager and Design Consultant, bringing 7 years of furniture industry experience to the role.

His versatility shines whether he's helping customers put together a functional everyday space or designing something bold and one-of-a-kind. He's equally passionate about finding the perfect fit for sleep or lounging; for example, Mo's favorite piece in the showroom is the Midtown sectional for its double pillow design.

When he's not with customers, Mo loves cooking homemade meals, reading a good book, or exploring a new city.
